Re: Your fashion evolution
Wed, November 9, 2005 - 1:57 AMI don't know if I can identify an evolutionary trend per se.
I think maybe I've changed the way I express certain fashion values, but those values have remained the same.
One thing I have noticed is that ever since moving to the midwest, my appreciation for the more ostentatious, or less discreet, has increased. I think the crazy-blandness out here has sent me in the opposite direction. -

Re: Your fashion evolution
Wed, November 9, 2005 - 10:26 AMi high school i wore only dark colors (mostly black)
in college, i didn't own anything black and wore GAP'esque stuff with jeans
now, i don't own any jeans and wear mostly red and black. my favorites are black button-ups and mandarin collars. i think my entire wardrobe consists of that stuff. i'm like einstein without the genius

Wed, November 9, 2005 - 10:48 AM"i'm like einstein without the genius" hah ha hah
In high school , I was shy about my body, and I always wore loose jeans and button up shirts (tucked in!!) from Eddie Bauer.
After high school, I went through a hippie phase.
In my early 20s, I took up salsa dancing like crazy, and developed quite the wardrobe of booby dresses and sequined dance shoes.
Now that I am old I am into tighter jeans and heels, skinny tees and scarves, sparkly bracelets and fun. I'm trying to dress more for myself and less for others.

Wed, November 9, 2005 - 11:09 AMoooh, sexy-but-understated is a great look
leaving a wee-bit to the imagination is always a great aphrodisiac.
just don't leave too much!

Wed, November 9, 2005 - 11:28 AMI can personally attest to Rubia's high school look *wink*
My favourite evolution is not having "a look"... Why can't I be hippie Jen one day, then feel my old goth self well up the next? Posh spice some nights, then let my burner tendancies come out another in full slut-wear fetish fun? Everyone has so many different sides...what happens to be hanging on your bones is just the visible expression of the morning mood, no? -

Re: Your fashion evolution
Fri, November 11, 2005 - 10:39 AMi think i've evolved... i was a big t-shirt jeans through high school and into college, then in college i kind of discovered that i had a body ? and that said body, if displayed in a certain manner, was appealing to the opposite sex... now i'm with jen... better to mix it up. some days office casual does involve fur and converse. -

Re: Your fashion evolution
Fri, November 11, 2005 - 10:47 AMThis is a strange realization isn't it. A woman I dated recently wanted me to wear more body-fitting, i.e. snug, outfits. I'm a bit modest when it comes to stuff like that but I am putting it out there a bit more these days.
